Bio Oil mixed with Foundation for glowing skin.

I think every mom has tried 'Bio oil' and has forgotten about it or stopped using it. 'Bio Oil' has an ingredient in it called PurCellin Oil and this stuff is hydrating. PurCellin Oil helps this oil absorb faster into the skin, leaving it less greasy than other oils. Its marketed mostly for scars and it does work if used consistently but we as humans tend to forget and we want instant results, which isn't realistic. 'Bio oil' also says its great for dehydrated skin. Which I think we all have in these cold months (there was snow on peoples cars this morning, brrrrr). This worked great on my face and didn't break me out. I have seen some people say they had breakouts after using this oil but it didn't happen for me.

I used to be the all coverage makeup for going out but as I get older I am looking for a more natural look in my foundation and with that I want the 'hollywood glow'. I had been using mac studio fix for years.......and this stuff covers it all.  This was not good for my dry skin. It clung to the dry patches and the stuff flaked off my skin. I always had to take makeup to touch up. I decided to purchase a more suitable foundation for my skin type not just what everyone else wore. When I purchased my new foundation I had 2 bottles off the 'mac studio fix' left. Me being me, I didn't want to waste  2 bottles. I had heard of the trick of adding oil to your foundation for a more sheer coverage and dewy finish.

There are two ways of adding an oil to your foundation. Either Mix a small drop with the foundation on the back of your hand and apply it to the face. Or putting a few drops into your foundation bottle and shaking it together. This way you don't have to take the oil with you when travelling or popping the oil open every time you apply your foundation.

Always add less and test. That way you can add more if needed.

I opted to use 'Bio Oil' with my foundation as this is what I had on hand and is a cheaper option than some face oils out there. Some people love the all coverage look and not the dewy look. It is all a matter of personal preference. This just adds that healthy glow that I like. Try this out and let me know if this worked for you.
