Mario Badescu, Drying Lotion

Is this magic in a bottle? I think so. Does it work? Yes.

I have been having some serious breakouts and I mean serious. Spot after spot. I had seen this everywhere and seen Kylie Jenner and Desi Perkins use this on their snapchat's and I was intrigued. I did some research and seen nothing but good reviews, so I bit the bullet and ordered it off beauty bay for €15.80. Which, for me is a steal if helps my spots. You get 1fl oz and I cant see me using this all up anytime soon.

I have been using sudocreme for years and this did the trick for the odd spot that I used to to get. I mean it was once in a blew moon and now its spot after spot. I find this a bit greasy though and wipes off the face too easily.

So lets jump right in to how to use this and the review.

First off I am going to start with the most important part of this product. DO NOT SHAKE THE BOTTLE. The alcohol and water sits on the top of the chamomile and anti-inflammatory concoction on the bottom.

Here is a pic of how the product should look:

The next step is to take a cotton bud and simply place it in the container until it hits the pink lotion.

You then take it out and the cotton bud will have the product on the tip of it, like this:

Then you dab the product on to your spot .

** Another very important part of this product is NOT to double dip. Once you have used one end to put the product on a spot, do not use that end again. This will contaminate the container and you then will be spreading the bacteria from the spots you already treated. Simply turn around to the other end of the cotton bud or use a fresh one. One dip will cover a good few spots anyway.

Once the product is on your skin it will look like this:

This product will dry hard on the skin and the spot will significantly be reduced by morning if used at night.

The technical stuff:

From Beauty Bay: An excellent spot treatment made with a blend of Calamine and Salicylic Acid, Drying Lotion clears up and soothes unsightly whiteheads overnight without irritating the surrounding skin.

This is so so true. It reduces the swelling of the area and sometimes for me they are gone over night. Sometimes it takes a few evening's of use for a very stubborn area. The other thing I like is that if treated properly, this doesn't leave that area that you treated flaky and dry.

I honestly don't know what I would do without this product now.  It has been a life saver for me and my breakouts. I highly recommend this product to anyone who suffers from frequent breakouts.

The only con to this product is travel. You obviously cant shake the bottle or it wont work. It sat nicely in the console of my car on a recent trip to Dublin to keep it up right.

Now I have dropped this and it arrived shaken up, from its very vigorous postal journey. Don't fret though, if it does mix. Just set it somewhere, upright and it will settle into the proper state after a couple of hours and then can be used.

Do you have this product or is it something you are interested in?

Makeup Forever Ultra HD concealer

We all know by now that the Makeup Forever Ultra HD is my favourite foundation. So a few months back I decided I wanted to try the concealer that was in the Ultra HD line aswell.  I ordered it from www.makeupforever.ie and it arrived so quickly. Once I got it and loved it I decided to get 2 more for my MUA kit as this comes out when you squeeze and there is no applicator making it very sanitary.

It is off a thick consistency but very easy to blend.

This Ultra HD concealer claims to correct pigmentation, conceal and smooth. It is supposed to photograph well all at the same time. I have very high standards when it comes to concealer. The  Urban Decay Naked Skin concealer is my ride or die and it set the bar so high.

This concealer is very lightweight and is medium coverage but buildable. I love how brightening this is and how it can hide how tired I always seem to be. I would say that this is up there with the best of the best when it comes to concealer. This concealer has 3D elastomer gel  which reduces the look of fine lines and wrinkles and has the appearance of firmer skin under the delicate eye area.

Here is a before concealer with my Naked Skin one and done

Here is when I used my finger to place it on my skin. FYI: a little goes a LONG way and I put way to much on my skin. It was at that point that I decided i would drag it down in a V and use the excess on my forehead, nose and chin! I wasn't planning on being that high maintenance today but it happened.:

Here it is while blending:

And here it is in a shameless selfie. You can see my under eyes look soooo bright and awake and no sign of dark circles. This is me running off a bad nights sleep! haha. :

This concealer comes in at €25 a pop and you can get it here.  Makeup forever is a highend brand but their products speak for themselves. The shade range is amazing and the quality is outstanding and I know I will be back for more!

Do any of you have this concealer?

NIP & FAB Glycolic cleanser and cleansing pads.

Image result for nip and FAB CLEANSER

So I know it seems like we have a million steps to do when it comes to skincare. Especially when we are being sold something it's like 5 steps to do before we can actually sleep and well, i'm freaking lazy and I just wouldn't be bothered sometimes.

Now there is something I would suggest for everybody and that's double cleansing. I have started this and I am loving the results and how clean my face is.  It is actually very simple and I do this more at night. I will use a cleanser at the sink and then swipe my face with a bit of micellar water on a cotton round or a cleansing pad. You would be surprised what still comes off our face even after we have washed it.

My current fav cleanser is the NIP & FAB Glycolic cleanser. (I have though been using the DUAC gel prescribed by my physician because I am having a case of adult acne which has gotten better with this). Another product I am in love with lately is the NIP & FAB glycolic fix cleansing pads.

This combo for me has my skin feeling so so clean. The cleanser is great and I love using this with my face brush and it foams soooo well which I love. These are supposed to refresh and and brighten the skin. My skin feels amazing when I use this combo. It says that you can use the pads twice a day but I feel that once a day is plenty!

Glycolic acid helps re-texture and resurface the skin. Giving you a brighter, younger appearance to the skin. This also has hyaluronic acid with helps replenish skins moisture which is great for dull or dry skin or mature skin which tends to dryer, in most cases.

Now if you are taking off your makeup at night I wouldn't really triple cleanse. I would take off my make up with a cleanse off oil or my micellar water and either wash it at the sink with this cleanser or the cleansing pad's. Either way these wee bad boys have my skin feeling amazing and extra clean.

I picked mine up online at cloud10beauty here. I love cloud10beauty as their service is amazing. Their next day delivery is amazing and even sometimes I get it the next day anyway without having to pay extra they are just that quick. If you don't like buying things online,  I know Boots carry NIP & FAB in store.

The pads are €13.95 for 60 of them and the cleanser is €9.95. This is soooo affordable and these products are fab.

L'oreal Cushion De Soleil Bronzer

This has been around for a few months. I'm a bit late on the cushion bandwagon but it is still relatively new in the UK/IRL market. There was a 3for2 offer on in a local boots so I decided that this was the perfect time to try the cushion bronzer.

L'oreal released the Loreal Lumi cushion foundation and the cushion bronzer together,

Here is a look at the foundation:

Image result for l'oreal cushion foundation nude magique

Korea has had cushion foundation for quite sometime and Lancome and Mac have followed suit with their own versions.

I didn't pick up any of the foundation to try because well, I simply have too many foundations at the minute that will take me sometime to go through.

Lets jump right into the cushion bronzer review.

It comes with it's own little sponge to apply the bronzer, however, I like a more precise application for the bronzer so I opted to apply it with a Real Techniques contour brush.

I loved this application and then I blended it out with a damp Beauty Blender because even with contour I like the blended look and no harsh lines.

Here it is swatched on the back of my hand and blended:

This has a lovely bronze tone to it. Its not to warm and it's not too cool toned. I love the glow it gives to the skin. Its luminous and dewy. What I love about this product is that it is buildable. You can build this up to the desired depth and it doesn't cake. Even the fairest of the fair can wear this. I used this before powdering the face and it didn't move my foundation underneath.

It says to flip the cushion when one side is dried so be sure to use all the product in the cushion.

This is pretty steep at €22/£14.99.  So I would definitely buy this while or when it is on offer.

You can purchase the bronzer here. Or pop into your local boots now for the 3for2 offer.

Here we are and I still haven't stopped my Glossybox. I have cancelled it though and the last one will be here October. I just love the wee surprise coming in the post.

This month's Glossybox was super pretty and the box had a lovely Pink and Grey colour scheme. I love it!

This months box came with a body lotion, mud mask, facial brush, makeup bag and an eyeshadow palette.

The makeup bag is by the brand Rae Feather, The retail price is £20. This is canvas on the outside and plastc in the inside, making it easier to keep clean. Shop Rae Feather online with the code FIRST10 for 10% off your first order.

Next we have an eyeshadow palette by the brand MUA. This retails at £4 and is a full size product. I got the Glitter Ball palette. This palette isn't something I would    gravitate towards but I suppose its good to have this bright and glittery palette in my collection.
Image result for mudmaskyMudmasky mud mask. Is a travel size product and is supposed to refine pores, hydrate, brighten, smooth and have anti-aging properties. That is alot to promise.  This mask is expensive people with the full size retailing at £53. I cant wait  to try this.

Spa To You facial brush. £6.99. This is a hand held facial brush. I love these things. I have a battery operated one from Spa Sanctuary and this will be great for travel. The bristles are soft and they help remove dead skin cells from he face. I wouldn't use this everyday but it great for a deep cleaning.

Cowshed, Wild Cow Invigorating Body Lotion. This retails at £20. This is a travel size. This is made in England and with all natural products. This smells amazing. I love it. It's infused with natural oils, lemongrass, ginger and rosemary.

L'oreal Pure Clay-Detox Mask

I was so excited about this product when it was first launched, I had seen Desi Perkins using it on snap chat and she said, it reminded her of  the Glam Glow Supermud.  Face masks for the most part, run quite expensive. I was so glad to see an affordable option for a purifying clay mask.

L'oreal released 3 clay masks in this collection.

We have the orange one for dry skin to help brighten dull skin. The dark gray for normal skin to clarify and detox and the light gray, for oily skin, to detox and mattify the skin.

L'oreal have made a great point with these masks.  To multimask. I always say this. I do this with the masks I already own.

Treat the area's on the face with the appropriate face mask.

I opted for the one for normal skin.

This mask is infused with 3 pure clay's and Charcoal. Charcoal is known to draw impurities to the surface of the skin and clarify the skin. The 3 clay's are:

Koalin: A Highly effective natural clay, known to absorb impurities and excess sedbum (oil)

Montmorillonite: Rich in minerals, a clay recognised for helping to eliminate imperfections.

Chassoul: A pure clay highly concentrated in minerals renowned to help clarify complexion.

My favourite way too apply face masks is with a foundation brush. It glides on easier and there is less mess. Just be sure to wash the brush straight away with warm water before it dries.

Here is a pic of it on the skin! This clay mask smells fresh and a little floral.

This Clayamsk has a thick consistency.

This draws all impurities to the surface of the skin and it is gross!! It is so cool to see though. At least you know its working. This will make you breakout after but that is only because you are clarifying the skin and detoxing it.  Here is a pic of the mask on my nose. Yuck!!

My skin felt amazing after I used this mask. I felt it very tightening on the skin but in a good way. My skin started to feel dry with it on but when I washed it off, my skin felt very soft and I could see my pores were clarified. I love this stuff and have used it twice since I got it.

I purchased this in Boots for £5 on special. Down from £7.99. This is a bargain.  You can also purchase it online here.

I say go for it ladies. Its like a facial in a jar!! I definitely recommend this product.

Glam Glow Thirsty Mud and Youthmud

So these Glam Glow masks are everywhere. You see bloggers, vloggers and celebrities using this stuff all the time. The most famous one is the white one. The Supermud.

This is the one that draws all your impurities to the surface of the skin and you can see it as it dries. This is one that I have not tried yet but I did buy the L'oreal dupe one and I will let you know!

First I want to talk about the Youthmud.

I used this once and I don't think I will use it again. I felt a tingle at first and then a sting. It dried out my skin and I didn't really see a massive difference. I don't think this product is good for anyone who would have sensitive skin. It seems harsh. A friend of mine said that she found it way to harsh on her skin. Another friend who uses it said that she needs to use the Thirstymud straight after because her skin is dried out so bad after using it. Skip this ladies and save your money!

Now this is different. This leaves the skin feeling fresh and hydrated. I actually really like this. For those of you who suffer from dry skin, this will add that needed hydration and moisture to your dull skin. This is a win in my books and it smells amazing!!

I wanted to add in the Glam Glow Gravitymud.

I love this stuff. I got this free sample size with a Sephora order once. OMG. I love how this feels. Its a metallic peel off mask. This made my skin fresh and firm without drying it out! It treats fine lines and for skin that has lost elasticity.  I think they got it so right with this. It isn't harsh on the skin at all.

Here it is on the skin. Excuse the scariness.

The full size Glam Glow retail at $69/€56 each. Yep that's expensive! These really are a treat, like a birthday or a Christmas gift.

You can purchase Glam Glow Masks on BrownThomas.com or Sephora

Have you any of these masks. If so, did u like them???
